About the Artist

Curriculum vitae

Jeanet Annette Snijders was born in 1964 in Enschede, The Netherlands. She completed her art-studies in Amsterdam in 1988, and continued to live and work there till 2007. During her studies she specialized in graphic arts, and around 2000 she got involved with filming, video and installations. In 2007 she moved her art-studio to Enschede

Since 1989 Jeanet has traveled the world, sometimes for a short stay of several weeks or, more often, for months in a row. Egypt, Mali, Indonesia, Bhutan, Tibet, Nepal, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Ladakh, Surinam, Brasil, Spiti, Karnataka and several places in France, Italy, Spain, Ireland and Greece were amongst the destinations. She has accumulated an extensive photographic documentation of all the visited sites and places.
